How To Join

So you want to join the Register of Approved Mattress Recyclers?

Membership of the register is open to both established companies (more than three years old) and New and Developing businesses based in England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, Isle of Man or Republic of Ireland.

Businesses that have operated for three years or more will be required to undertake an audit once every two years. Businesses that have been operating for less than three years will be subject to an annual audit.

How Much?

Of course, you want to know what it costs to join the Register. Here you go.

Year One

Application and audit cost: £2,600 + VAT (including application processing fee, pre-audit checks, audit preparation, travel expenses, reports and desktop review / follow ups). Annual membership subscription fee for RAMR: £500 +VAT

  • Membership of RAMR will not start until an application and audits have been completed and approved.
  • No audit will take place until audit charge has been paid for in full.
  • If there are any additional sites which require an audit visit, these will be charged for in addition and separately to the above costs and must be paid for in full before auditing commences.
  • Additional charges may be incurred if an audit visit is cancelled or postponed once the audit process has started (see Terms and conditions for full details).
  • Any further audits or visits required to complete a successful audit will be additionally charged and must be paid for in full prior to the further site visit taking place.
  • No company will be listed on the Register until the annual subscription is paid in full.
  • The audit cycle will normally be every two years
  • Starts ups established for less than three years will be required to undertake annual audits

Year Two

Annual membership subscription fee £500 + VAT

* Businesses that are less than 3 years old at the time they originally apply will be required to undertake a re-audit – £2,400 + VAT

Year Three

Re-audit cost £2,400 + VAT

Annual membership subscription fee £500 + VAT

The Application Process in more detail

Just so you are clear about the application process and fees, this is how it will progress. The time it will take depends partly on how quickly each payment stage is achieved and partly on availability of auditors, but we estimate somewhere in the region of six to eight weeks after we receive your first enquiry.

1. Enquiry made (Application Form Part 1) and contact/site details submitted

2. Enquiry reviewed by RAMR team and any queries followed up with applicant

3. Auditor contacted to obtain audit (s) quotes

4. Proforma invoice issued to company for audit(s), one off application fee and first year’s member subscription

5. Link to Part 2 of online Application Form sent

6. Once submitted, Part 2 of the Application Form is reviewed and checked by RAMR team and any queries or omissions followed up

7. Once payment is received, auditors will be in touch to conduct a remote, pre-site interview which will ensure you are ready for your on site audit(s)

8. Once all stages of the Application process, including the pre-audit interview are satisfactorily completed, the auditor will proceed with onsite audit(s)

9. Audit takes place – audit results reviewed by RAMR team

10. Decision for inclusion on Register

11. Company details added to Register

12. Welcome Pack issued including certificate and logos for use

13. New Member of RAMR announced
